Mini implants: when are they suitable?
It is worth mentioning such an option as mini-implants for fixing removable dentures. They are temporary in nature and as the name suggests, these implants are smaller in size. Mini-implants have a number of advantages: enhanced fixation, minimum contraindications (bone density and jaw size are not important), minimal trauma, accelerated installation procedure, the ability to immediately attach a removable denture, lower cost. But they are not always suitable: they cannot be placed if there is a need for a full load on the implant; they are not suitable for single dentures and for replacing upper teeth.
